| TODDLER PROGRAM
Our Toddler program is available to children ages 18 months - 2 1/2 years old. We believe toddlers are very special and should be treated with lots of love and affection. One way we accomplish this is by ensuring a small class size of 8 children and 2 teachers. We strive to maintain a high quality program for such a delicate age group of children. Not only will your toddler be kept in a safe loving enviornment but in an enviornment that will promote his/her physical, intellectual, emotional, and social development.

JUST KIDZ PRESCHOOL PROGRAMS
Intro to Preschool Prgram-This program targets our 2 1/2 and 3 year olds. Our intro to Preschool program provides the students with planned activities that will engage and exercise each of their senses. This program will developmentally prepare each student for their transition into the pre-kindergarten class. Our program is based on the Creative Curriculum philosophy, stating that young children learn best by exploring and experimenting in a structured and stimulating environment. The Cheetah students will learn and adapt to a routined schedule of group meetings, free choice centers, large and small group activities, snack, lunch, and nap times. Overall, our Intro to Preschool program promotes our students to develop socially, emotionally, cognitively, and physically.
PreKindergarten Program: Our 4 to 6 year old students will be enrolled in our PreKindergarten class. This program is designed to prepare students in making a smooth transition into kindergarten. In addition to hands-on activities and free choice centers, this program concentrates on the development of oral language skills, comprehension skills, writing skills, phonological awareness skills, and number concepts. The students will be using a wide variety of tools to enhance their literacy and mathematic skills. Students will aquire these essential skills based on the objectives and standards following the Creative Curriculum philosophy. This program ensures that students will graduate with the skills and confidence they need to continue on to kindergarten.
The Teacher's Role: The teacher's responsibility is to ensure a safe and nurturing environment where their students feel comfortable and eager to learn. The teacher provides planned activities which incorporates literacy, math, art, social sciences, and technology into the Creative Curriculum objectives. The teacher observes, guides, and assesses each of her students to determine the various levels of learning within the classroom. Each student will have his/her own portfolio so that his/her progress may be assessed throughout the school year. These portfolios will be used to organize various observations of each child's development based on the curriculum objectives. Furthermore, the teacher will be able to plan for the students individually and the class as a whole.
The Parent's Role: At Just Kidz, we encourage the parents to become actively involved in their children's educational experiences. We realize that parents know their children best; we are open to any suggestions that you may have to ensure that your child is learning at his/her highest levels. It is also important for parents to provide a creative learning environment at home. This is an excellent way for parents to participate in their child's education. For example, cooking with your child, having your child help set the table, take out the garbage, clean up their toys, play outside, and story time will further enhance your child's develpmental growth. Together, our staff and your participation will enrich your child's educational experience.
Just Kidz Multicultural Education: An education free of inherited biases, with freedom to explore other perspectives and cultures, inspired by the goal of making children sensitive to the various ways of life, different modes of analyzing experiences and ideas.
Just Kidz is proud of the different cultures and ethnicities within our preschool. We think that it is important for our students to learn about the different customs and holidays that are celebrated by their peers. Learning about various cultures enables the students to truly value diversity through study and social interactions. Multicultural education gives young children the opportunities to develop an understanding of others, while affirming children of diverse backgrounds.
For example, the purpose of picture books and story time is to have the children relate to the situations, people, and events that are presented. Using multicultural literature in the classroom can serve as either a mirror or a window in a young child's eyes. Thus, the child may see his/her own life reflected in the literature or he/she may have the opportunity to see into someone else's life.
At Just Kidz we respect each family's cultural and religious beliefs. We are eager to learn more about each family's traditions, celebrations, and beliefs. However, we do not want any family to feel obligated to discuss their personal life; at Just Kidz your privacy is extremely important to us.
JUST KIDZ offers two healthy snacks a day with the child's choice of juice, milk, or water. Each child is provided with a cot for nap time. We ask parents to provide a small pillow, blanket and purchase a special cot sheet from the school.
